MASKAN NAKURU
Art, Memory, and Healing
MASKAN NAKURU: Art, Memory, and Healing
Dates: 2nd – 3rd Novermber 2025
Time: 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Venue: Old Town Hall.
Maskan Nakuru is an immersive art exhibition and safe space that brings together artists, survivors, and community members to reflect on stories of resilience, gender justice, and collective healing.
Building on the success of previous editions, Maskan explores how art can spark dialogue, inspire empathy, and challenge social silence around gender-based violence. Through installations, performance, and storytelling, the exhibition invites audiences to experience the intersections of art, trauma, and hope in deeply personal ways.
This Kisumu edition is part of an ongoing collaboration between Usikimye, Creatives Garage, and the Heinrich Böll Stiftung (Nairobi Office). The partners aim to foster safe spaces for reflection and advocacy, amplifying unheard voices.
Join us in this creative and transformative space as we use art to reimagine justice, safety, and community healing.
