Green Horizons

Leveraging the EU–India Partnership for Climate Action

As part of the CSDR–hbs Policy Brief Series on India–Europe relations, this webinar marks the launch of a new policy brief examining how clean energy and green technologies are reshaping the EU–India partnership. Cooperation in these areas has emerged as a steady anchor of engagement, even as broader geopolitical dynamics remain uncertain. The 2025–28 India–EU Clean Energy and Climate Partnership seeks to advance collaboration in fields such as green hydrogen, offshore wind, electricity market integration, smart grids, and climate diplomacy.

The discussion will also consider the growing importance of the Global Gateway and the EU–India Trade and Technology Council (TTC), as well as the implications of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) for Indian exports and clean energy supply chains.

Key questions include: How can the EU–India partnership accelerate the global energy transition? And how can parliaments, civil society, and diverse stakeholders shape a more inclusive and resilient climate action agenda?

About the Series:
The CSDR–hbs Policy Brief Series brings together experts from India and Europe to produce co-authored briefs on key pillars of the bilateral relationship—including the Trade and Technology Council, the Global Gateway Project, Space, Climate Action, and Europe’s evolving geopolitical landscape. Each brief culminates in a public webinar, creating a platform for dialogue, policy insights, and shared perspectives.
