Agroecology - Our Roots of Change

Ahead of World Food Day and the UN Climate Change Conference COP30 in Belém, Brazil we want to draw attention to the second edition of the web dossier „Agroecology – Our Roots of Change“ published by the Heinrich Böll Foundation. Agroecological practices are valuable instruments to reduce the agri-food sector’s climate impact and help adapt to extreme weather. Therefore, they should play a key role in any climate debate, although being heavily underfunded compared to other climate action approaches. Yet, agroecology goes beyond climate action and adaptation. Agroecology is also a concept for equitable, just and resilient food systems that are less vulnerable to economic and geopolitical shocks and aim to produce diverse, healthy food accessible to everyone.

In this webinar, we want to present the new dossier contributions and bring in perspectives from Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the MENA region, listening to a selection of the web dossier’s authors.
