Petra Kelly – Act Now!
Film screening as part of Das Filmfest
We invite you to the screening of the German documentary Petra Kelly – Act Now! within the section UNBROKEN at the German Film Festival Das Filmfest.
Petra Kelly became famous not only as a co-founder of the Green Party and one of its brightest stars in West Germany at the end of the 1970s, but also as a woman capable of shaping a new, world-changing politics and challenging superpowers. She became a symbol of the peace movement in Europe, cooperating with East German civic activists as well as international allies such as Joan Baez and the Dalai Lama. For her, issues of the environment, peace, and human rights were all equally important.
The documentary Petra Kelly – Act Now! rediscovers this exceptional politician and activist who tirelessly advocated for women’s rights, climate protection, and international cooperation. Her courage, vision, and ability to connect people across borders make her a figure whose legacy remains highly relevant today.
